Spiderbait are one of those bands that became burned into the Australian psyche in the 1990’s. They could do no wrong, they were all over Triple J on high rotation, regulars on Recovery and major draw cards for iconic festivals like The Big Day Out, Livid and Homebake along with a huge following on the pub circuit.

For over thirty years the band has never lost any demand and if anything they have earned a whole new generation of fans through the offspring of their original fans. Let’s face it great music is simply that, timeless and generational. While the band has an assortment of side projects and hasn’t released a full album of new material in over a decade.

In this chat with drummer and vocalist Kram we talk all things festivals, side projects and the possibility of a new album in 2026. Live Spiderbait have always been a great time and in reflection on the Lookout Festival line up Kram assures us that this will be a great day of Australian music. This is the bands second time on the Lookout Festival line up, but this one will be special. Anyway enough of text, sit back and enjoy The Rockpit’s chat with Kram.
