Yellowcard are a band that captivated us with their debut major label release and the reason for the current tour and this interview. The album is ‘Ocean Avenue’ and it’s 20th Anniversary is being celebrated by their current tour of Australia which is at the half way mark at the time of this chat. Andrew Slaidins sat down with lead vocalist Ryan Key and violinist Sean Mackin at a roof top bar of their hotel in Melbourne. The guys were on a high after their stellar show at Margaret Court Arena the Saturday night before they met.
During their chat they talk the history of the band, what’s new with band and reflect on their career to date. There is a section of the interview that we couldn’t share at this stage but will once we have the all clear to we will. What was shared is hugely exciting. Slaids said he felt privileged to have what was shared with him, shared with him.
