Tonight was the ‘Bon Voyage’ one-off special show and the first night of the ‘Bitter Sweet Tour’ of Cassidy Paris and band. In the next couple of weeks Cassidy and band will be travelling to Europe, UK and Ireland. They will be supporting Harem Scarem on their 2025 European tour, playing on the bill at the Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan Italy as well as headlining their own UK tour. So to warm-up the dedicated followers, family and friends who were there to say Bon Voyage, they brought along some cool support guests.

First on the stage was Monroe. Monroe are a 5-piece band with frontman Nathaniel, Brandon on drums, Christian on bass and dual lead guitarists Jason and Rocco. Though leopard print clad Nathaniel is the lead vocalist, all members of the band share vocals giving the choruses a powerful impact. Monroe are a 2025 version of a glam, pop rock band. With a youthful and raw energetic stage performance.

They play fast and at times chaotic tunes which give me Darkness vibes, with the odd booty shake thrown in to pump up the fun. Monroe was on stage for 30 minutes with a 7-song set. You can check out Monroe at the Battle of the Bands – Heat 4 at Stay Gold in Brunswick (Melbourne) on the 10/04/25 (free gig).

Second on stage was Dangerous Curves. I have seen Dangerous Curves a few times now and they never disappoint with their ‘LA hair bands of the 80’s’ vibes. I can best describe them as a mix of Van Halen, Poison and Bon Jovi with Kym Britten on vocals, Luke Chapman on drums, Alex Richmond on guitar and Will Saw on bass.

Dangerous Curves is made up of talented musicians and a very charismatic frontman, think David Lee Roth in his prime. They played a 45 minute set of 10 powerhouse songs. I highly recommend their album ‘Summertime Highs’ which was recently voted as one of the 11 best hair metal albums in the last 25 years.

So now the crowd was ready to rock with Cassidy Paris. For those of you who have not heard of Cassidy Paris and band you are in for a real treat. Cassidy was brought up on a diet of rock and it was inevitable that she would be on the stage. She is the 2025 version of the original rock chick. With her powerful vocals and well written songs, she is a star on the rise.

Cassidy is surrounded by talented musicians with Tom Rogowski on lead guitar and his brother Alex Rogowski on drums and Cassidy’s dad Steve Janevski on bass. Steve brings a wealth of experience to the band and the Welsh brothers are the icing on the cake. Cassidy’s influence of classic rock and her own talent make for a very cool rock show.

So to great applause they played 15 songs and did not say “goodbye”, but more like “see you when we get back”. What a great send off. I know you will kick ass on your tour and come back home bigger and even better.
Thanks to Cassidy and team for inviting myself and Ozgreeny Photography to be your guests and see you when you return triumphantly form you overseas tour.
