Perth Indie Rockers 46 BRIGADE Release Third Studio Album ‘Jet Black Star’

‘Jet Black Star’ is the third full length album from Perth indie pop/rockers 46 Brigade and has been released today, Friday 11th April, 2025 on all digital streaming platforms. It follows on from their extremely popular ‘Against the Tide’ EP (2022), and just like the latter, is full of edgy and melodic rock driven songs.

The title track of ‘Jet Black Star’ was written in honour of a band friend who passed suddenly after a motorcycle accident. The theme of emotion is strong and everpresent throughout this new album. The tempos and mood of songs vary considerably, and the dynamic in the lyric follows suit. Happiness, sadness, optimism, dismay, reflection, hope, all the feels are there, which the band hopes will relate to the listener in an authentic and moving way.

Produced by 46 Brigade, mixed by Grammy Award winner Thomas Juth and mastered by Sam Pettit, ‘Jet Black Star’ looks like being another hit, and must have album, for this established and rocking WA outfit. The band are also gearing up for a run of shows to promote the new album, after a successful support slot with Noiseworks on their recent WA tour. (You can read the full review here).

To celebrate the release of Jet Black Star, the band will simultaneously drop the 4th single from the album, titled ’20 Years Younger’.
