TO THE SKIES release new single ‘Who I Am’

For the past three years, for young Indie Rock band, To The Skies, their timing just sucked. The band released their breakout single “Echo” one week before the pandemic hit in 2020. They had a dramatic bust up with Management. And in 2021, their next single “Screw the Situation” became the unofficial lockdown anthem for music artists across the globe feeling exiled from the live gig scene as it seemed like no one would ever perform live again. Yet nothing could stop them.

Extreme talent meets tenacity with the band gaining some serious momentum in live show and song streams ever since. Dusting themselves off, they opened for GANGgajang, Uncanny X-Men, The Radiators, MiSex, The Chats, Ben Hazlewood and Dean Ray to
name a few. With larger than life energy, high level musicianship, professional entertainment value and the kind of cred with their original tracks that most bands dream about, To The Skies spent most of 2022 on the road with The Voice winner Natalie Gauci and Aussie Country Star, Jade Holland. Lockie Farr, lead vocalist notes, “Going through your 20’s is weird. You journey through such a myriad of different versions of yourself to figure out who you want to be as a person. All you need is to be able to take the time to figure out what you want in life, and who you want to be.”

The sixth single “WHO I AM”, is a song about uprising, speaking up, standing up and having the courage to be who you are. Featuring a poignant yet hilarious video that isn’t afraid to poke fun at the Music Industry, this cathartic coming of age release for the band, is where an anthemic chorus of U2 meets the driving energy of Porridge Radio.

“WHO I AM”, was released through The Manick Label/In Grooves/Universal Music Group on Friday 24 February 2023.
