EXCLUSIVE: Answered ahead of her first-ever Australian headline tour, pre-Melbourne show:
Chapsticks – “I’m addicted to Chapsticks! I always have a Chapstick. If I don’t have a Chapstick, I’m not even kidding, my whole day is ruined! I hate when my lips feel dry and I think because I use Chapsticks so often, my lips are even drier than normal. But I always have to have my Chapstick.”
Headphones – “My headphones too, I always need my headphones. I always wear headphones, even when I’m not listening to music. For whatever reason, I always have my ears covered, it gives me some type of peace or something. I really like having my ears covered!”
Medicine – “I also always have to have my medicine with me. Like, Tylenol and Dramamine, actually I have to have my Dramamine especially. I have really, really bad motion sickness on cars and planes. I literally could be sitting here right now and move my head too fast and – boom! I have to take a Dramamine (laughs).”
Hoodies – “Lastly – a hoodie! I always have to have my hoodie. Even if it’s hot outside, I have to have my hoodie with me, I just love being warm. It’s freezing in Melbourne at the moment while I’ve been here, we went for a walk on the beach yesterday and it was freezing! But I do wanna see a koala so badly while I’m here so I don’t care if it’s cold or raining – I wanna hold one so bad!”

Kicking off on Thursday 4 May at The Prince in Melbourne, MAGGIE LINDEMANN will then make her way to The Triffid in Brisbane on Saturday 6 May, before closing out on Sunday 7 May at Crowbar in Sydney.
A flourishing artist, social media style icon and entrepreneur, MAGGIE LINDEMANN has amassed over one billion streams in the last two years, with her hotly anticipated debut full-length SUCKERPUNCH making spellbinding waves worldwide upon release in 2022. Praised for its versatility, striking vocals and empowered subject matter, SUCKERPUNCH offered fans and MAGGIE LINDEMANN herself a chance to dive deeper and revel in lush, dark and infectious musical terrain, with hyper pop-meets-glam-goth dominating the album’s overall aesthetic.
“When I was making this, I had those blows in my own life; when I listened to the album back from start to finish, I realized the entire thing was a sucker punch – for myself, for my fans – and I knew it had to be the title,” shares Maggie of her 2022 opus. “Writing is my therapy, my way to get what I’m feeling and thinking and going through out so that I can try to move on from it. With this album, I finally knew: ‘I need to let go of this stuff, so I’m just going to write about it.’ I have control over my own life now. I have control over my music and what I want to say, what I want to do, and how I want to do it.”
