Walter Trout has led a busy and eventful life, playing alongside some of the finest guitarists ever to have walked the earth. John Lee Hooker, Percy Mayfield and John Mayall have all been blessed to have had Trout feature and tour with them over the years before he kicked off his own ‘Walter Trout Band’ back in 1989.
With thirty albums already under his belt and album number thirty-one scheduled for the new year, Trout has no plans to slow down, having had a much publicised brush with death back in 2013, after being diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver.
The Rockpit’s Sean Bennett secured some quality talk time with Walter to discuss the forthcoming tour, his song writing techniques, who he would love to have join him for dinner and what music he listens to during his down time.
