EMPIRE OF THE SUN Announce Crooked Colours & Sumner As Special Guests On The Ask That God Australian Tour Oct-Nov

Frontier Touring is excited to announce Empire of the Sun’s Ask That God’ Australian Tour will be an all-Aussie affair – with alt-dance group Crooked Colours and Tasmanian alt-electro duo Sumner joining the electro pop wizards as special guests on their tour this October & November.

Kicking off next month at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney (sold out) on Thursday 24 October, Empire of the Sun’s iconic return with a kaleidoscopic holistic live show will head to Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne on Saturday 26 October then onto Riverstage, Brisbane on Tuesday 29 October before a west coast show at Red Hill Auditorium, Perth (sold out) on Friday 1 November.

Empire of the Sun, the visionary Australian electronic duo comprising Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, have been making waves across the world with phenomenal live shows and anthemic smash hits for the last decade as one of Australia’s most successful musical exports. ​ Hits include ‘Walking On A Dream’, ‘Alive’, ‘We Are The People’, ‘High And Low’, ‘Half Mast’ and ‘Standing On The Shore’.

Alt-dance group Crooked Colours will join as special guests on Empire of the Sun’s Melbourne and Brisbane dates.

Crooked Colours are the live electronic dance act from Fremantle, Western Australia. Forming in 2013 the band have gone on to release three critically acclaimed albums Vera in 2017, Langata in 2019 and Tomorrows in 2022. These albums include 4 x platinum award singles ‘Flow’, ‘I Hope You Get It‘, ‘Do It Like You’ and ‘Love Language‘ as well as 6 further gold accredited singles in Australia.

​Well known for their high energy live performances, the band has toured extensively internationally including numerous internationally recognised festivals such as Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Life Is Beautiful, Splendour In The Grass, Spilt Milk & Rhythm & Vines to name a few. The band have amassed over 1 billion combined streams across all streaming platforms as well as sold-out headline tours around the world.

Joining Empire of the Sun on all Australian dates is alt-electro duo Sumner. Comprised of Chloe Wilson and Jack McLaine, the Tassie pair have garnered critical acclaim for their captivating melodies, intricate electronic production, and authentic lyrics.

Catching the world’s attention in 2018 with their self-released material, Sumner signed to Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes’ (PNAU) label Lab78 soon after. Releasing their single ‘Stranded’ in 2021, this marked the beginning of a series of singles co-written and produced by PNAU, that propelled the Tasmanian duo to new heights. With over 2.5 million streams and heavy airplay, the song quickly became triple J’s most-played track for over a week.

Sumner has recently supported acclaimed artists such as SAFIAPNAU and Boo Seeka and has performed at Party In The Paddock, For The Love and Wine Machine, leaving audiences wanting more of their addictive live show.
