ALMOST HUMAN
The Godfathers of Heavy Metal in Australia
Almost Human were the first New Wave Heavy Metal band in Australia formed in 1979 playing their own original material as well as selected covers by Judas Priest, Saxon, AC/DC etc. They developed a massive following back in the early to mid 1980’s playing to Full Houses & iconic venues around Australia.
Almost Human have also written, recorded & released their own music/material with great success over many years. Their first release was in 1987 the “Hold On” EP which charted in the SA-FM charts & reached No28 in the Top 40. They have also released 2 studio albums, the first self-titled album “Almost Human” & the second album “Full of Fight” which are both available on all music streaming platforms.
HIDDEN INTENT
Since their inception in 2011, Adelaide built thrash metal brutes Hidden Intent have been working harder than a meat mincer in an Aussie pie factory, nabbing themselves a whopping fan base worldwide with their 80’s thrash style deeply rooted in the Bay Area and Teutonic thrash scenes.
Fuelled by a firestorm of riffs, frenzied guitar solos, frenetic drumming, and gritty vocals and all mashed in together with a solid slab of party, Hidden Intent punch on ruthlessly on the live front as they charge themselves loose onto crowds like a bull at a gate!
EMERGENCY RULE
It’s Sabbath with attitude, Down with a swagger, Skynyrd with power. The band’s laid-back vibe is a smokescreen to the musicians’ earth-shaking riffs.
Bringing heavy grooves, V8 style booming bass lines, and pounding room-quaking drums, Emergency Rule is a foot-stomping, head-banging rock ‘n’ roll sensation.
Whether it’s the deal with the devil ‘Snake Eyes’ or the bar room barfly ‘Bartender’, Emergency Rule is a good time, no-nonsense-boogie-grooving infectious vibe. Pull up a chair, get a drink, and roll that dice.
SHARP SHOOTER
SharpShooter is a 3-piece speed-metal band from Adelaide, formed in 2022.
Wanting a ‘high-energy’ live show as their artistic trademark, SharpShooter pivots away from their slower-tempo doom metal origins in Lucifer’s Fall; to playing speed metal – or, at least, playing a style somewhere in that wheelhouse between Judas Priest’s “Exciter”, Motorhead, and more outright thrashier fare like Slayer. These things tend to develop in their own time, so we’ll see where that goes.

SHOTGUN MISTRESS (Melb)
Explosive hard rock band Shotgun Mistress hailing from Melbourne, entered the scene in 2018 with their debut single “No Friend Of Mine”, taking a page straight out of the L.A strip era, and highlighting some of their main influences – Velvet Revolver and Guns N Roses. Initially releasing four singles from their self-titled LP (including #1 iTunes rock tracks BLEED ME OUT, GLORIOUS MACHINE & SAVE ME FROM MYSELF), they then signed with golden robot records and released their debut album in 2021.
Their sophomore album KINGS OF THE REVOLUTION debuted at #27 on the OZ ARIA ALBUM charts making it their first ARIA charting position for the band, #1 on the iTunes rock album charts, #3 overall and hitting #2 on the AIR (Indie Charts). This album has had multiple radio features on platforms including MMM, REBEL NETWORK and other major commercial stations, and Shotgun Mistress are well on their way to solidifying their place in the Oz rock scene.
AUDIO REIGN
Formed in 2011, recently ARIA Album recipients for their new album The PERFECT SEA, AUDIO REIGN has created an inimitable Australian Rock sound, moulding driving heavy guitars with melodic vocals and harmonies.
August 2023 saw AUDIO REIGN solidify a significant milestone by signing a record deal with XMusic, an innovative Australian label helmed by seasoned music executive Tim Mclean-Smith. This marked the release of the band’s highly anticipated album, “THE PERFECT SEA” which unveiled a series of compelling singles. With an ambitious agenda ahead, including extensive touring and the global debut of ARIA Charting “THE PERFECT SEA”, XMusic and AUDIO REIGN are poised for a monumental future ahead, reinvigorating the hard rock scene with their electrifying presence. Their journey, though challenging, commences here with what will become one of the most compelling hard rock albums of the year.
THE DREADFUL TIDES (Melb)
The Dreadful Tides, one of Melbourne, Australia’s best up and coming hard rock bands exploded onto the airwaves in 2021 giving the world a new definition of hard rock. Raw vocal tones flowing effortlessly into smooth melodic vocal runs, Heavy riffs from the classic Les Paul and Marshall combo, a huge drum sound that throws you back in your chair and bass lines that resonate through your head like a v-twin through a tunnel.
TDT’s Live show is an energetic, powerful mix of hard rock hits and classic rock vibes. Their ballsy tone makes a thunder storm sound like a nursery rhyme.
LONELY EMPIRE
Formed in 2023, Lonely Empire is a dynamic teenage band that has burst onto the music scene with their infectious energy, raw talent, and a passion for creating music that speaks to their generation.
Lonely Empire draws inspiration from a variety of musical influences, infusing their songs with catchy hooks, heavy riffs, and relatable lyrics. Through their heartfelt lyrics and relatable storytelling, Lonely Empire aims to connect with their peers and provide a voice for the emotions and struggles that define life.
