THE KILLERS Announce Australian Rock Royalty JET As Special Guests For Their Townsville Show

Further guests to be announced for all shows | Tour kicks off this month

Frontier Touring is pumped to announce multi-platinum selling and multi-ARIA Award winning JET as special guests at The Killers Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville show on Saturday 30 November.

“The Killers are a fantastic live band. We performed alongside them at the Big Day Out in 2007, so this will be a fun reunion. Townsville is such a beautiful city..it’s been 15 years since we last played there so we’re really looking forward to getting back.” – JET

The Killers 7-date Australian tour kicks off this month, playing Townsville for the very first time with their Rebel Diamonds greatest hits show featuring back-to back chart-toppers from across their extensive career. This is now the only opportunity to see The Killers live in Queensland as the Brisbane Entertainment Centre show on Monday 9 December is sold out. Both Townsville and Brisbane will be hosting the Rebel Diamonds best of concert.

Originally hailing from Dingley, Melbourne, JET quickly conquered the world after forming in 2001, selling more than 6.5 million albums globally and securing close to 10x platinum certification in Australia and platinum in the USA and UK for their 2003 debut album Get Born. The album produced a string of classic singles in ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, ‘Rollover DJ’, and ‘Look What You’ve Done’ and netted the band 6 x 2004 ARIA awards. Both ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’ and ‘Cold Hard Bitch’ peaked at number 1 on the US Modern Rock singles charts and propelled the band to the top of festival bills and charts around the world.

JET’s follow up album Shine On followed in 2006 and was rammed full of another collection of melodic rockers including, ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’, ‘Bring It On Back’ and ‘Rip It Up’, and achieved platinum status in Australia on the back of stand- out headline shows around the world, and an unforgettable Big Day Out run in 2007. 2023 marked 20 years since the release of their debut album Get Born. To celebrate JET Embarked on their first band shows in 5 years, playing Get Born in full plus hits from their extensive catalogue. In November 2023 JET received the honour of being the 2023 ARIA Hall Of Fame Inductees.

JET have just released a two-track single ‘Hurry Hurry’ and ‘Un’Avventura’.

The Killers will also play two concerts at Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney with the Friday 6 December show being a Rebel Diamonds greatest hits show and the Saturday 7 December show being a dedicated performance of Hot Fuss – celebrating the 20th anniversary ARIA #1 album in its entirety – with a few extra surprises thrown in.

Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne will see the band play over three consecutive dates – Thursday 12 (Rebel Diamonds), 13 (Hot Fuss) & 14 December (Rebel Diamonds).

Special guests for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne to be announced soon.
