Glenn Proudfoot, Australian Guitar virtuoso, is today announcing the release of his brand new record “Fire & Rain“. It will be unleashed into the world on Friday November 17 through Bird’s Robe Records.

First single & video “Broken” from the record premiered at Guitar World on Friday.

Proudfoot garners praise the world over for his skill and technique – Music Insider Magazine described Proudfoot as “…one of those rare individuals who approaches the skill and style, and in some cases, surpasses the technical skill of the ones he claims as his influences and inspiration. There are so few guitarists out there that can do such justice to the masters he claims as his inspiration, and his playing style, technique, and sheer talent is deserving of our admiration and attention.”

It was my goal to dig a little deeper with this album, both musically and melodically, while still maintaining the tough, gritty, organic and technical elements of music that I love so much,” Proudfoot said of Fire & Rain. “While I was focused on pushing into some deeper areas of both my lyrics and music the one thing that I wanted to keep constant was the intense riffs and big solos, the guitar is the definitive driving force behind every song on this album.

This new Album “Fire & Rain” was recorded in Prague and in Melbourne in 2016 and in early 2017. All songs on the record were written by Glenn Proudfoot – who obviously played all the guitar and sang all the vocals. Lucius Borich (Cog) played Drums and Junior Braguinha (Virgil Donati band) played Bass. Fire & Rain was produced and engineered by Peter Bowman and Glenn Proudfoot and it was mixed by Peter Bowman in Melbourne.

Australia’s Glenn Proudfoot has played and toured with major signed bands and artists in Europe and Australia, including progressive rockers Prazsky Vyber and hard rock supergroup The Nerve (featuring Cog’s Lucius Borich, Mammal’s Ezekiel Ox and Pre-Shrunk’s Davarj Thomas). Glenn released his first instrumental solo album, Lick Em, in 2010 and his second record in 2014, Ineffable.
