Amon Amarth

Available immediately, Swedish heavy metal titans Amon Amarth (Metal Blade Records/Sony Music International) – in partnership with Swedish video game developer and publisher Ride & Crash Games AB has unleashed a new Amon Amarth mobile video game!

The Game. You are Thor and your mission is simple: cleanse Midgard from all of the vile creatures that are threatening the (*ahem*) peaceful Viking way of life. There are three keys to ensure your success:
(1) your hammer, Mjölnir;
(2) your control of the freakin’ thunder and lightning!; and
(3) your fighting spirit is always high thanks to Amon Amarth’s epic music in retro style blasting from over the horizons and into your ears.

The unique game features four worlds, four epic battles, 12 unique levels and 13 different Amon Amarth tracks with retro video game sounds!

The game is available worldwide to the public for iOS and Android Phones and Tablets for a retail price of $8.99. This link redirects the mobile or tablet user to their correct App Store:

The idea for the game was conceived in the fall of 2015 when Robert Chirico Willstedt, a video game producer in Stockholm and founder of Ride & Crash Games AB, met Amon Amarth. Robert and the band bonded over epic amounts of beer and a common love of video games, and they started discussing how cool it would be if they could create a video game for Amon Amarth. There and then, the idea was born of a retro style Viking platformer with Amon Amarth music in ’80s sounding square wave format. Robert hand-picked a team of developers and designers to realize the game concept. The band met the development team continuously during the development process to ensure the end product would stay true to the initial vision of the game. This is an authentic Amon Amarth product.

Grab Mjölnir. Blast Amon Amarth. Save Midgard.

Amon Amarth will be appearing at Download Festival Australia

Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl “Bobby Tongs” Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag’s closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

German Thrash legends Accu§er will release their new album, The Mastery, on January 26th via Metal Blade Records!

Accu§er comments: “2017 has been quite busy for us, as we wanted to come back with a bang and to present you a more than decent follow up to ‘The Forlorn Divide’. For us, ‘The Mastery’ is the essence of what Accu§er is all about. It definitely feels like the angry newborn child of ‘Who Dominates Who’ and ‘Repent’. We just hope all you thrashers out there are going to enjoy this record as much as we do!”

Watch the video for the first single, Mission: Missile here

The Mastery track-listing:
1. Mission: Missile
2. The Real World
3. Solace in Sorrow
4. Time for Silence
5. My Skin
6. Catacombs
7. Mourning
8. Ruthless
9. Into the Black
10. The Mastery

Accu§er has been in a constant songwriting mode during the past year. Combined with the energy and spontaneity from several live shows, the songs came to fruition very quickly. Together with long-time producer Martin Buchwalter, they made the record in the summer of 2017 at well-known Gernhart Studio (Destruction, Tankard and many more). For the band, The Mastery is the missing link between the technical virtuosity of their classic album Who Dominates Who and the more basic, heavy approach of Repent – making it their best album since their comeback in 2008. The Mastery contains all of the elements that define the Accu§er sound: heavy, chunky thrash riffs, aggressive vocals with a touch of melody – in addition to the high class guitar solos by youngster Dennis Rybakowski. When it comes to the lyrical side of their songs, Accu§er still raises their voices to denounce social grievances.
