Statues release new single & video ‘Defiance’

Statues

Perth’s most brutal progressive hardcore, Statues have turned heads with their album No Grave, No Burial. With not long to go before they embark on their national tour alongside their mates Arteries, they are today dropping their filmclip for album track Defiance. The track is live in all good digital stores and streaming outlets now and tickets for their tour are on sale now at beardfoot.com.au/statues.

Killyourstereo gave the record 95/100 and said “…Statues have tackled a weighty, brutal topic in just the right way, with just the right kind of emotion and with real nuance; discussing something so much bigger than themselves and their band’s music in a meaningful way.”, Metal Hammer expressed that “The fertile soil of Australia’s heavy scene has birthed many hardcore bands in recent years, and this five-piece are amongst the most progressive.” and Hysteria rated it highly, saying “In a climate that is overwhelmingly embracing of the more weird and wonderful, Statues will see themselves slowly but surely enter the highest echelons of Australian heavy music. No Grave, No Burial is a testament to a dynamic scene and a band who are ready transcend the realms of genre boundaries.”

Statues’ tour is in support of their critically-acclaimed concept album “No Grave, No Burial” and they’re bringing special guests Arteries along for the ride with them, as the tour takes on Adelaide (Arteries no longer appearing in ADL), Sydney, Melbourne for two shows (18+ and All Ages) and Perth for two shows (18+ and All Ages).

With their new album, Statues explored a new direction, whilst maintaining a strong connection to their roots that have made them renowned as one of the premier live bands in Australian heavy music – sharing stages with the likes of Northlane, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Stray from the Path and Touché Amoré.

Defiance is available now on iTunes, Spotify and Bandcamp, as part of No Grave, No Burial. Tickets are now on sale at http://www.beardfoot.com.au/statues for their album tour with Arteries. For more information about Statues, please go to https://www.statues.band.
