Golden Robot Records sign Puddle of Mudd & A New Revenge featuring Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens

Golden Robot RecordsAustralia’s biggest and fastest growing independent record label, Golden Robot Records, have had a massive 2016 and 2017 and this year looks set to be even bigger with the news of several more international acts joining their ever-expanding roster.

Golden Robot Records is thrilled to announce the signing of TWO American acts for worldwide release. The all-star metal band, A New Revenge and hard rock legends, Puddle Of Mudd.

A NEW REVENGE features one of the finest voices in metal of all time, Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens (ex Judas Priest), one of the most versatile and name checked guitarists in rock Keri Kelli (Slash’s Snake Pit, Alice Cooper, Vince Neil Band and a hundred more), legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot and so many more) and long-time Scorpions drummer James Kottak (also from Montrose, Warrant & more). A New Revenge is greater than the sum of its parts, although its parts are pretty damn mind blowing!

Razor sharp riffs, thunderous drums and those soaring vocals that come charging in from on high to lay waste to the landscape. A New Revenge are forged from the very heart of heavy metal. Expect their brand new molten slab of metal to assault your ears in mid 2018!

Platinum selling and multi award winning hard rockers PUDDLE OF MUDD have been kicking ass and taking names since forming in 1991. With over seven million album sales to their name and a string of number 1 hits including Control, Blurry, She Hates Me and Away From Me, Puddle Of Mudd owned the post grunge era and Golden Robot are beyond excited to release the bands 7th studio album later in 2018. The as yet untitled album is going to satiate their large and loyal fanbase as well as attract a slew of new fans who are being swept up in the current rock resurgence.

A New Revenge and Puddle Of Mudd are the latest acts to join the very impressive international arm of Golden Robot Records roster, standing alongside rock and blues legends Little Caesar, Guns N Roses keyboard master, Dizzy Reed, Aussie ex-pats by way of Canada, The Lazys and Australia’s own global rock icons, Rose Tattoo.

Watch out for some even bigger names who will be joining GRR’s international roster in the near future!

Mark Alexander-Erber, Golden Robot Global Entertainment Group Founder and President:
As the founder of Golden Robot Records I am incredibly thrilled to announce the worldwide signings of A New Revenge and Puddle of Mudd. Together with major worldwide rock artists like Dizzy ReedLittle Caesar and our own Rose Tattoo. We are just at the very beginning of realising our mission here at Golden Robot Records, and that’s to be THE leading rock music company of the future. Having only started the company just three years ago as a humble rock fan, I am unbelievably proud to have built the strongest and most artist friendly rock label in Australia and am now taking it to the world.

Our Aussie team and domestic repertoire are truly superb and I’m happy to announce that we have Derek Shulman (ex President of Roadrunner/ATCO/Polygram) overseeing the expansion of the label and heading up a global team of highly experienced and skilled industry staff in offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Hamburg and of course here in Sydney. In addition to that we have secured and set up truly inspiring partnerships for our physical and digital distribution around the world via Soulfood, Amped/Alliance and Believe.

My mission from the start was to allow musicians freedom, support and a true partnership in their rock n roll endeavours. Our future mission is plain and simple. We will work 24/7, 365 days a year to help and partner with our artists to ensure their maximum success worldwide. As a lifelong true fan of rock and now a label owner supporting it, I have never been happier!

I am so excited to say we have some fantastic major signings to announce in the coming weeks too! This is just the beginning.”

Derek Shulman, President USA Operations/Worldwide expansion GRR
When I met Mark a couple of years ago he asked me what I thought was needed to become a successful international rock music company in today’s less than auspicious recording atmosphere. I answered Mark with three simple words. Passion, Capital and Luck.

We chatted about his company in Australia and his vision of how he was building it to become a powerhouse. I was extremely impressed by Mark’s drive and entrepreneurial spirit and wished him the best. In the summer of 2017 Mark called and asked me to meet him in Los Angeles to discuss what we had talked about 18 months earlier. He said he was ready: He had indeed built Golden Robot Records to become the powerhouse he promised.

So…we met again…and to quote myself, we discussed:

1. Passion: I have rarely met anyone with more passion and knowledge of rock music and musicians. Mark was truly a SUPER-FAN with an energy and love of the genre that wouldn’t quit.

2. Capital: Having realised that Mark was indeed seriously passionate about the music and the artists it was important to discuss the funding of marketing, promotion and every new piece of the jigsaw puzzle in the digital age. Mark immediately asked if Guns N’ Roses was available to sign. This gave me the answer that I needed to know.

3. Luck: No matter how good the music and how much money you spend in marketing we all need luck. However, if you are indeed passionate and spend monies in the best possible directions, luck is more likely to come your way.

Mark then asked me to join him in his mission for Golden Robot Records to become a major player in the international rock music world. I loved his passion and drive as well as his ability to listen and learn as well as to teach ME. We shook hands and became partners to oversee the worldwide expansion of Golden Robot Records.

2018 is just the beginning of a fantastic road ahead for the company. Having traveled this road several times in the past, I am very excited to work with Mark and Golden Robot Records in utilising my experience to make the company the worldwide home of the best and most successful rock music and musicians for today and into the future.

Golden Robot Records also boasts one of the best domestic rock rosters of any label, anywhere. Their Australian roster features some of the country’s finest legendary and iconic bands and some of the fastest rising stars of rock:

The Lockhearts, Kilbey Kennedy, Palace Of The King, Flickertail, The Kids, Fyre Byrd, The Cherry Dolls, The Superjesus, Ben Gillies (Silverchair), Steve Balbi, Toe To Toe, Groom Epoch (Richard Ploog), The Iron Horses, Steve Kilbey (The Church), The Heartache State (Nick Barker), Horsehead, Mi-Sex, Moon, New Trends, UTI, The Art, The Plastic Fingers, Angry Anderson (Rose Tattoo), She Shinjuku to name but a few AND there’s more to come.

Rock and roll in Australia truly has a home and it’s with Golden Robot.
