The Front Bottoms

The Front Bottoms have shared the official video for Tie Dye Dragon, a brand new song and the first track to be released off their forthcoming Ann EP. Directed by Mark Jaworski, the video is streaming now on the Fueled By Ramen official YouTube channel. Pre-orders for the Ann EP are available now, with a worldwide release date set for May 18th. The six-track collection, which follows 2014’s Rose EP, features five new recordings of never before released fan favorite songs in addition to Tie Dye Dragon.

Last year The Front Bottoms released their new LP GOING GREY.  The acclaimed album is highlighted by Peace Sign – the band’s first song to break into the US Alternative Radio charts –  Vacation Town, Everyone But You, and Raining, which arrived to critical acclaim with NPR hailing the new music as “…brutally honest, witty and confessional…” adding, “The group’s heart and humor shine… .”  The FADER remarked, “The Front Bottoms make memorable sing-a-longs that call back to a different, simpler, sadder era of confessional guitar music.”  Stereogum praised Raining as, “grand and reflective and damn near arena-ready,” with A.V. Club  declaring, “The Front Bottoms are more confident, and secure enough to confess to all they don’t yet know. It’s a privilege to listen in as they work it out.”  GOING GREY is available at all DSPs now.

Comprised of guitarist/vocalist Brian Sella and drummer Mathew Uychich, the New Jersey-based band made their Fueled By Ramen debut with 2015’s acclaimed studio album, BACK ON TOP, highlighted by singles HELP and Cough It Out – the latter named by NPR Music as one of its Favorite Songs Of 2015.” The album earned copious critical attention, with NOISEY declaring “What really hits home with The Front Bottoms is the ragged honesty and raw wound emotional urgency of the songs.”   The A.V. Club praised The Front Bottoms’ “steady maturation,” noting the band had “the confidence to eschew jangling crises for a quieter set of contemplations.” SPIN applauded the album’s “fuller sound,” suggesting, “Signing to Fueled By Ramen gave them the opportunity to further polish their winning melodies and conversational lyrics.”
