Lagerfest 2018 announced featuring Lagerstein, Dead City Ruins and more

Lagerfest 2018

Ahoy Australia! Lagerfest returns this September to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and is bigger and better than ever!

PARTY TIME IS NOW! Following the success of their ‘Yeast Coast’ plunder of breweries, Australia’s premiere nautical mischief-makers LAGERSTEIN have decided to once again hoist the sails of the mighty S.S. Plunderberg and embark on another trek across the country for Lagerfest V. With a highly energetic, captivating live show, Lagerstein have built a strong reputation as a band that takes the audience to a folk rockin party they may never want to come back from. Always delivering something special for Lagerfest fans, Lagerstein have massive plans for Lagerfest V. You can expect a huge announcement regarding this in the near future, so stay tuned! Dust-off those beer bongs, mix the jungle juice, and prepare to raise your steins to party times!

Ready to rock the house down, DEAD CITY RUINS are what Lagerfest is all about. Having performed for crowds across Australia, Europe, United Kingdom, and even the Middle East, Dead City Ruins are professionals when it comes to putting on a spectacle. This working class band has truly embraced that spirit and ‘can-do’ ethic that Australian rock greats have paved before them. By leaping headfirst into any great opportunity that laid before them, the Melbourne quintet has experienced more highs and lows than most bands ever will – experiences that manifest themselves in the band’s music and performances. Dead City Ruins will have you ready to party the night away!

Lagerfest would like to welcome you into the world of a man who responds to one name only; Rick Dangerous. With their infectiously catchy, groovy sounds, RICK DANGEROUS & THE SILKIE BANTAMS will have you jumping up and down and dancing in ways you never thought were humanly possible. Always delivering a killer live show, the self-proclaimed masters of ‘thrust-core’ bring a unique audible and visual presentation to the stage that has to be seen to be believed. Always remember crew – Grip. Squeeze. Twist. Release.

By now the Lagerfest party will have well and truly kicked into 2nd or 3rd gear, but THE BOTTLERS are about to take it to a whole other level. Hailing from the depths of Sydney, this 9-piece has entertained crowds through pubs and clubs across the country, all while sticking true to their folk and punk roots. Fusing the harmonious qualities of folk music, with the blistering pace of punk rock, The Bottlers have one of the most refreshing sounds in the Australian music scene. Boasting a jiggingly impressive live show, the hard-working band will wow the Lagerfest crowd with their ‘in your face’ acoustic display. With the focus of Lagerfest centralised on partying and celebration, there certainly doesn’t seem like a better fit than The Bottlers.

Did they do shoeys in the 80’s? One can only hope. Off the back of performances across the other side of the globe in Sweden, CATALANO embarks on their first voyage on the S.S Plunderberg for Lagerfest V. Reminiscent of a much simpler time (in the best way!) in Rock’s history, CATALANO combines slick riffs, shredding solos, luscious hair and that ‘never say die’ rock ideology. Sporting a sound reminiscent of rock royalty, CATALANO is certain to ignite the Party Times across the nation this Lagerfest!
