It’s been a wild couple of years for The Velvet Addiction, their debut EP ‘Volume 1‘ defined their iconic style and sound into the music scene with singles Take Me Back, I Won’t Go and Stuck On You! Landing the guys on MTV, RAGE & TRIPLE M, not to mention sold out shows and debuting on an international circuit!
Now the efficinardos of Australian classic rock are ready to evolve with their sophomore EP ‘Volume 2’ releasing their third track Lost In The View, a more refined Australian take on the quintessential sounds of 70’s rock and roll!
Regardless of how happy-go-lucky we are, everyone faces struggles, challenges, and difficulties. The Velvet Addiction have had their fair share yet their track Lost In The View with swooning tunes and grooving guitar riffs, helps us to find peace in adversity.
“Lost In The View to me represents finding peace in a negative outcome, realising that it’s necessary to grow and move forward,” said vocalist Stefan West.
The Velvet Addiction have taken a step back with this track, as they’ve reminded themselves what their about and what they stand for as band, returning to their style of comfort.
“For us as band, we feel this song captures the things we are about, the things that speak the most about us as a band. It really brings us back to where we feel most comfortable, and that place is always right between groove and raunch guitar, you know, that real Brit-rock vibe,” said guitarist Aaron Bach.
These Melbourne men are not only releasing their latest track from ‘Volume 2’ but they’ll be taking their swagger across Australia on tour in celebration featuring their roadtrip-ready singles Diamond In The Sky and Give it Up!
Even more so The Velvet Addiction are super excited to be welcoming MTV’s ‘The Hills’ star Justin Bobby to Australia as their special guest star across the tour with his band – BobbyrocK.
BobbyrocK – a three-piece, punk rock outfit from California, LA, fronted by bad boy Bobby himself, packing all the ego and attitude he’s synonymous for. This band doesn’t disappoint, showcasing the roots of punk rock! After just finishing a US tour with 50 + dates, BobbyrocK are set to hit Australian soil for the first time!
