The Aints! release new video/single ‘Country Song in G’

The Aints

On the eve of taking the stage at Meredith Music Festival The Aints! present a new clip for their latest single ‘Country Song in G’, directed by Tyson Perkins (Miami Horror) ‘Country Song in G’ stands proud next to Kuepper’s 1990s solo classics The Way I Made You Feel and Everything I’ve Got (belongs to you) ballads in the truest sense that bear repeat playing on late night TV, radio, soundtracks and as a cover versions.

Aided and abetted by the melodic basslines of Peter Oxley (Sunnyboys) and the sympathetic touches of keyboardist Alister Spence and euphonium player Eamon Dilworth, Country Song in G continues that tradition although, the genesis of the song pre-dates both those tracks and harks back to a particularly fertile song writing period for Kuepper between the release of The Saints 2nd album Eternally Yours in April 1978 and the recording of that band’s swan song release Prehistoric Sounds in August 1978.

The Aints! have just wrapped up a successful national tour in support of their debut release ‘The Church of Simultaneous Existence’, and while local response has been great the overseas reaction – as it was for The Saints – has been even more ecstatic.

Catch The Aints! live as they continue to tour; this weekend at the sold-out Meredith Music Festival and at Wollongong’s Farmer and The Owl Festival in March.
