Windwaker announce new EP ‘Empire’, drop hilarious clip for ‘The Sitch’

Melbourne’s Windwaker are on a roll. Several, actually. The five-piece rock/metalcore crew are today rolling out their second track and video from forthcoming EP Empire – entitled My Empire. The track is available now at all digital platforms and streaming outlets.

The new single premiered to the world on Tuesday night on triple j’s Good Nights with Bridget Hustwaite. The sharp-as-a-tack video (as with the lyrical content) centres around the theme of time – with clocks and their inner-workings and hourglasses appearing throughout – as well as Melbourne’s skyline and streets. Colin Jeffs directed the gorgeous new video.

With massive support from triple j unearthed’s editorial team, they have been chosen as the Download Festival Melbourne triple j unearthed’s slot – and the band’s first single from the Empire EP, The Sitch, has been doing massive things for them – as it was added to triple j unearthed rotation, played on triple j’s The Racket, Short Fast Loud and Home and Hosed, rotation on The Faction Radio, the cover image artists on Spotify’s Homegrown & Heavy playlist and the video played on RAGE. Their previous single New Infinite made The Faction’s Hardest 100 countdown of 2018 over the weekend as well!

The new single My Empire is an epic track that showcases all the band’s talents – Will King’s incredible vocal range, the gorgeous mix of guitars both heavy and melodic, and band member Chris Lalic’s skilled-beyond-his-years production skills.

Windwaker are also about to embark on tour with Brisbane’s The Brave to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in March/April. Friday March 22, EP release day for the band, sees them in Melbourne at the Bendigo Hotel, Sydney March 23 at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory Gallery Bar and April 6 in Brisbane at Crowbar.

EP Empire is available for Pre-Order now, all at https://windwaker.lnk.to/thesitch.
