Having released their debut studio EP, I’ve Got Something To Say…, on September 22, 2018, One In The Chamber has been compared to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Mötley Crüe, Soundgarden, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Guns N Roses, among others. The EP was named Canadian EP Of 2018 by Canadian Beats and their readers with the music video for “Bills To Pay” being nominated for Rock Video Of The Year as a part of Dropout Entertainment’s Independent Music Video Awards.
Now, One In The Chamber has released their second music video ever for “Itchin’ Back”!
“Itchin’ Back” sees One In The Chamber reunite with director Diego del Río, who also shot the video; was produced by del Río, Kathleen Fobert, and One In The Chamber; and was edited by Fobert. As a staple to the band’s live show, “Itchin’ Back” – the closing track off the EP – seamlessly blends their classic rock, ‘90s, and modern alternative rock influences.
The video explores the often internal conflict between chasing one’s passion while balancing
regular, conforming responsibilities. It’s a juxtaposing collision that hits all aspiring musicians, but just like Bon Scott said, “It’s a long way to the top if you wanna rock & roll”. There is a dangerous sense of liberation in being an artist; it’s a risk not all are willing to take.
I’ve Got Something To Say… was recorded at the legendary Phase One Studios (The Tragically Hip, Rush, Alice Cooper) with producer Murray Daigle (Serena Ryder, Platinum Blonde). The EP has also racked up over 24,000 Spotify streams while receiving airplay across North America, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, France, and The UK.
Since Forming in 2015, the band has tirelessly performed throughout Toronto – including performances at The Horseshoe Tavern, Adelaide Hall, and The Opera House – and across Ontario, along with an international performance at The MGM Grand, Las Vegas.
One In The Chamber has shared the stage with Scott Weiland, Derek St. Holmes, Super Troupe, and Darby Mills, while also appearing on the same festival bill as the likes of The Offspring, Live, Ill Scarlet, and Sumo Cyco.
Having performed at numerous festivals throughout Ontario, One In The Chamber were also a part of Epidemic Music Group’s Guinness World Record Breaking Concert, which ran for over 16 days. In the last year, the band released their first ever music video for “Bills To Pay” ahead of I’ve Got Something To Say… and were also featured live on Toronto’s CP24.
