Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch was in Australia last week to premier his incredible new documentary Loud Krazy Love. A Film which shows Brian’s struggles to do the best he can for his daughter Jennea whilst overcoming a methamphetamine addiction, finding god, overcoming everyday struggles after leaving Korn and his triumphant return to the band.
The film also showcases his daughters struggles with depression and anxiety, not fitting in to small towns and so much more. The film which is so brutal, raw, compelling and inspiring needs to be seen to be believed. Cameron Edney of Wicked Pix caught up with Brian Head Welch in Sydney to discuss the film. When asked what Brian took away from the movie after seeing it for the first time in its full, completed form he replied, “Oh man, I’ve come so far and did so much! I can’t believe I’m here finally to peace, contentment and just satisfaction in life.”
When asked how Jennea felt about the film Brian said “She cried when she first watched it cause I think there were a couple of things where she didn’t know exactly how it was all going to be put together, and she wasn’t upset, she was just emotional.” Brian has been very open and honest when it’s come to his struggles as a recovering addict as well as being a single parent. In the film Brian refers to how with every decision he made after leaving Korn he felt it was the wrong choices and felt like he was screwing up the kid more and more. “I tried to be the super parent. I tried to fulfil mum and dad roles then when everything was crashing around me in my personal life I needed help.”
Loud Krazy Love’s demand in Australia has seen the film screenings across Australia in select Event Cinemas extended until the end of this coming weekend. To find out where you can view this incredible documentary head to www.loudkrazylove.com.au or www.eventcinemas.com.au
