Remission set to release debut album “The Tether’s End” on November 15th

Remission

The Tether’s End is the long awaited debut album from Perth melodic death-thrash outfit Remission, due for release on November 15th.

With 11 tracks, 53 minutes of music and a deluge of captivating riffs, it is set to be a tour de force of blisteringly fast and crushingly heavy metal. Soaring melodies accompany the pounding riffs, backed up by thunderous, clockwork drums that lay the foundations for Jacson Robb’s brutal vocals, which follow the themes of politics, war, world issues and mental health.

Jacson Robb (Vocals/Guitar) and Lewis Oliver (Drums) began Remission in 2014 in a shed in Perth, Western Australia. Remission’s first foray into musical fusion was released in 2016 as the ‘Genocide’ EP. A quick, in your face tasting board of the bands sound, this was then followed up by the ‘Claws of Vultures’ and ‘Temples’ Single released later that year, which furthered the bands sound with more complex riffs and more mature themes.

2017 saw Remission take their high octane riffage to the Eastern States of Australia, being a part of ‘Bangers and Thrash’ in Sydney and ‘Metal United Down Under’ in Melbourne (with Psycroptic headlining).

In 2018 Remission supported Destruction for the Perth Show of their 2018 tour, and then set off on a tour in Japan later in the year with the illustrious Taake, Bloodshot Dawn and fellow Perth death metal outfit Earth Rot.

Following this tour, Curt Everett (Guitar) and Josh Vaile (Bass/Vocals) were added to the group just in time for the recording of Remission’s debut album, ‘The Tether’s End’. Recorded partly at Vision studios and at home.

In March 2019, Remission supported New Zealand titans Alien Weaponry in Perth, hot off their appearance at Download Australia the week prior. May 31st saw the release of “Mother War” – the first single from The Tether’s End. The rest of 2019 and 2020 looks promising for Remission, with the release of their upcoming debut album The Tether’s End, and an Eastern coast tour in support of the release early in the new year.
