The inaugural Red Hot Sundays live streaming session will take place on Sunday May 31, with James Reyne in acoustic duo format.
The initiative is designed to continue the cash flowing through our music community, the live music sector amongst the hardest hit by COVID-19 lockdowns.
Each episode will engage the services of artists, venues, production teams, sound engineers, booking agents, ticketing agencies, managers, graphic designers, publicists and music media.
Red Hot Sundays is a free event, but music fans are encouraged to purchase a ‘virtual ticket’ or exclusive event t-shirt from our partner ticketing agencies, Ticketmaster or Oztix. The purchase of a virtual ticket or t-shirt will ensure the ongoing success of these sessions, with 100% of profits split between artist and venue.
Tickets range from $10 to $100 with the option of a special edition t-shirt that can be purchased to show your support.
James Reyne said today, “I’m excited to support this initiative – the invitation to play live and give our industry an opportunity to get back to work, was really appealing to me. I’m hoping that music lovers across Australia will get behind it and show their support via a virtual ticket. I can’t wait to play live and showcase tracks from my new album alongside some old favourites.”
James will donate his profits from this event to Road4Roadies / Support Act.
James Reyne recently released his new single ‘Toon Town Lullaby”, lifted from his forthcoming 12th studio album of the same name. It will be released on 10th July via Bloodlines Music and is available to pre-order HERE.
