They’re back! As teased last week, AC/DC is officially back with members Angus Young (Lead Guitar), Brian Johnson (Lead Vocals), Cliff Williams (Bass Guitar), Phil Rudd (Drums), and Stevie Young (Rhythm Guitar).
AC/DC’s website has launched an official Power Up mailing list, giving fans teasers, photos, snippets of songs and hints as to when the new album will be released.
A short teaser of their forthcoming song “Shot In The Dark” has also been released which can be heard below.
Previously leaked photos of the band apparently taken from a video shoot surfaced before the official announcement. In the lead up to the new announcement, the band celebrated 40 years of the iconic “Back In Black” album with a series of videos looking back at the release with stories, interviews and more.
“Back In Black” was released on July 25th 1980 and went platinum in only a few short months. It also marked the first album without former singer Bon Scott who passed away only a few months prior.
