Yard Of Blondes are a new force on the alternate rock scene. With their female bassist, raw energy and selective influences you can’t help but being reminded of bands such as Sonic Youth, the Pixies and the Smashing Pumpkins.
Their new single Do You Need More? is storming track, complete with sludgy and earthy guitars, and a pummelling rhythm section which all rolled into some sweet and explosive melodies topped off with some beautiful intertwining of vocals ranging from aggressive to controlled and melodious.
Yard of Blondes released 4 EP’s since 2011, was featured along with Eric Burdon (The Animals) and Victoria Williams on the Hi-Desert compilation Highway 62 Love Songs, and were remarked in 2013 by Rodney Bingenheimer, legendary KROQ DJ, who began playing their track Murderology. He was then imitated by more than 100 international radio stations (KROQ, Kerrang!, Doble Nueve ETC. ). In 2014 French National TV France4 broadcasted a 60 minutes documentary about the band and in 2016 the band was featured on the compilation I Love You All The Time along with Eagles Of Death Metal, Florence & The Machine, Kings Of Leon, Jimmy Eat World and many more. All the proceeds were given to the victims of the Paris attacks.
In April 2020, Yard Of Blondes signed with the labels DIE LAUGHING RECORDS (California) and GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS (Australia).
On July 3rd, Yard Of Blondes released an unexpected EP Close to Home a live session recorded during the quarantine. Vincent, Fanny, Forrest and Burak all recorded and filmed themselves from their homes in Los Angeles playing the songs Murderology, You and I & I and Lowland that will be featured in their upcoming album + the song Pyramid of Bones a cover from the band The Voidz.
Do You Need More? is the 3rd single from their debut album Feed The Moon and will be released in 2021. Feed The Moon is in the same vibe as EP Murderology, their previous EP that got airplay worldwide.
The band surrounded itself with the best people in town to produce their upcoming album: Billy Graziadei (from Biohazard) produced the album, Mike Patterson (Nine Inch Nails, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Beck) took care of the mix and Maor Applebaum (Faith No More) mastered the album. Add to that a special guest on the song You and I & I, Davy Portela from the band Pleymo.
