Melbourne solo artist Envy Marshall returns with rocking new single “The Fire”

Envy Marshall

Like everyone, Envy Marshall has been tested by the year that was 2020. Her debut single, Drown released back in February lit up the rock press with it’s authenticity and she was preparing for a run of killer shows before everything shut down.

With the year drawing to a close and things slowly returning to normal, Envy has come roaring back with new single, The Fire, to see out the year in style.

A classic rock n roll song in the truest sense, The Fire evokes images of blistering California heat, bad ass women, muscle cars, hair, make up and guitars – just a rock girls’ dreams come true!

Envy says of The Fire, “2020 was tough, but it wasn’t enough to put out the Fire in us…. here’s a little something to remind you to keep rocking babies!”

Melbourne is undoubtedly the home of Australian rock n roll and like some other global rock hotspots it draws people in from all over with its allure… Dreams of making it, playing sold out shows, the adulation, images of icons and iconic venues and having a damn good time while doing it. There is one person that comes to mind Envy Marshall

Envy is the epitome of the modern day rocker. Armed with endless stories and potential song lyrics via a lifetime of scars and experience, Envy brings back that oozing confidence, sensuality and sexuality of the great women of rock who have gone before her.

On her debut single, Drown, she sings of casting her no good lover aside and taking back her power. The power to fly, the power to take control of your destiny and cut those ties.

Envy Marshall the musician came to be after a being sidelined from her first love, wrestling. A major head trauma in the ring led to doctors telling her she would never be able to wrestle again.
Not one to let something like that get her down for long, she picked up the guitar while in recovery and taught herself how to play. Fast forward a few years and the Adelaide native was on a bus to Melbourne, guitar in hand. Welcome To The Jungle baby.

Envy soon fell in with the some of the best from the rock scene and surrounded herself with songwriters and musicians that helped her hone the very essence of what she wanted to become. It’s been a long time coming. She has the songs, she has the band, and soon, she will have you.
