The Southern River Band returns with new single ‘Are You Up?’

Mere weeks after cultivating one of the great feel good stories of 2021 – A fan led mega push that saw The Southern River Band play at the AFL Brownlow Medal Award to millions of people nation-wide through the miracle of live TV, Thornlie’s greatest ever export aren’t about to let up.

‘ARE YOU UP?’ is the latest offering from SRB and we’ll let frontman Cal Kramer take it from here: “I wanted to write a sing and dancer, know what I mean? It’s a put your arm around someone and belt it out together, sing and dancer. We went real deep on this one and if it doesn’t get stuck in your head, well then you’re far stronger willed than i am”. When asked what the song was about, Cal responded “Hope”. Thanks Cal.

Stylistically, ‘ARE YOU UP?’ finds the band at their most melodic, with 2 (count ‘em – 2) huge choruses, that’ll bury themselves so deep in your brain, Cal Kramer’s voice will become your on board narrator, and for that SRB apologises!

Along with the release of ‘ARE YOU UP?’ The Southern River Band continues their seemingly endless touring of Western Australia with a hometown show at the iconic Charles Hotel in North Perth on Friday December 10th, while waiting impatiently for the chance to take their Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Party back to punters nationwide.

To quote another Aussie icon – “Do yaself a favour!”

‘ARE YOU UP?’ is available everywhere Friday December 10th.
