New York City Rock ‘n’ Rollers, JANE LEE HOOKER, announce European Tour dates

New York City’s Jane Lee Hooker announce European “Keep On Rollin’ Tour” in support of their new studio album, Rollin’ (available 4/29/22). Stephen Harrison at Blues Matters Magazine writes “The thing that most excites me about this band is that it can move from blues, blues/rock, soul, and gospel in the blink of an eye.”

Jane Lee Hooker has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, including Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic. The five members of Jane Lee Hooker have shared the stage with acts like the Hellacopters, Turbonegro, Motörhead, MC5, the Melvins, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Vanilla Fudge, the Allman Betts Band, Samantha Fish, Ben Folds Five and They Might Be Giants.

“Can someone pinch me, please?!?” says Dana Athens (vocals, keyboards). “This tour is finally happening! We have missed our beloved European fans so very much.”

Tracy Hightop (lead and rhythm guitar) adds: “This band has never sounded better and we can’t wait for everyone to hear the new songs and rock out with us!”

Ron Salvo (drums) explains: “I was asked to join JLH in February 2020 and was meant to do my 1st European tour with the band two months later. Well, we know what happened…now I can’t wait to hit the road with this amazing band!”

“Incredibly, this tour which was canceled twice, is really happening! I cannot wait to see the faces in the audience that we’ve missed so much,” declares Hail Mary Zadroga (bass guitar).

Tina T-Bone Gorin (lead and rhythm guitar) says: “It’s always such an adventure touring Europe. Even the mundane aspects of touring are exciting overseas.”

Jane Lee Hooker exploded out of New York City when they formed in 2015, with members having spent time in Nashville Pussy, Bad Wizard, Helldorado, Lez Zeppelin, punk rockers the Wives and Plasmatics offshoot New Hope. The band won international acclaim with their debut album of revved-up blues covers No B! in 2016, and were signed to legendary German blues/rock label Ruf Records. The follow-up album, Spiritus, featured original material written by the band and was released in 2017 – once again to glowing reviews from press.

The nine tracks on Rollin’ are 1. “Lucky,” 2. “Drive,” 3. “Jericho,” 4. “Weary Bones,” 5. “All Good Things,” 6. “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” (Cannonball Adderley – written by Joe Zawinul), 7. “White Gold,” 8. “Runaway Train,” and 9. “Mean Town Blues – Live at Dreamland” (CD only; Johnny Winter).
