INTERVIEW: THE NEW ROSES – Timmy Rough – The ‘Sweet Poison’ Interview

I love the fact that you get to regularly catch up with the people who make the music you love. For me it’s always been about spreading the word in a world where you are bombarded by content. I picked up on The New Roses way back in the early days of The Rockpit and have been lucky enough to catch up with main man Timmy Rough with each new release. He’s an artist whose passion is palpable and whose writing is sublime. If you crave great standards, Arena sized choruses and a real Rock and Roll outlook then Germany’s The New Roses are a band you need in your life. Imagine the best of 80’s Stadium Rock with a touch of country rock and a real knack for a great ballad. The new album ‘Sweet Poison’ might just be their best yet! Mark talks to Timmy about resuming touring and the songs that make up the album.
